When I am asked by parents "when is a good time to start a child on harmonica," my usual response is "right now!"

But remember the advice in the box above. If you give a very young child (under the age of three years) a harmonica...

...think of it as you would think of giving that child your car keys, or your eyeglasses, or your necklace. All things that require close supervision, since they present potential choking hazards.

If you do allow them to play, and to watch this DVD, do it with supervision, and have them keep the harmonica IN ITS CASE when you are not supervising. That's a good habit (keeping your harp in its case) for all of us!
